As the sun begins to break through the winter clouds and the temperature starts to rise, so does the anticipation among the true party crowd as they gear up for the event that will kick off the summer festival calendar in truly unforgettable style: PARKLIFE.
Im so glad the organisers announced second release tickets caz i would never forgive myself for missing out on this line up:
Not only am i jumping for joy Goldfrapp is heading to our shores once more after a long hiatus,
but joining her is 2manydjs , Familjen, Van She,
Dizzee Rascal ,Diplo , blackalicious ,soulwax , elektrons , Neon Neon and a band i will always have a soft spot in my heart for (as they are named after my old public school! and would of sounded brilliant on the wedding singer soundtrack) -Grafton Primary.
most importantly the bands i will be battling tech heads and pill poppers for the frount row are......
!!!!!!DOES IT OFFEND YOU YEAH?!!!!!
!!!!!PEACHES!!!!!!
!!!!!!DRAGONETTE!!!!!ARRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRGGGGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHH!!!!
i cant believe i finally get to see my favourite androgenous british electro sexy-synth loves . im saving up for the sideshows too. you cannot simply listen to their cd a thousand times and be content with seeing them ONLY once.
plus some of australias finest djs will be showing the superstars how a turntable is opperated in the southern hemisphere with the likes of the bag raiders, van she tech, ajax and miami horror shakin their stuff on batman ave.
I had food poisoning the day of parklife last year and although i ran off the trains and trams to throw up several times beforehand thinking i might be alright for the rest of the day if i dont have anything else in my stomach to chuck up and sat down instead of danced, i keeled over in the line and couldnt get back up from all the stomach acid fewms. and missed out on seeing Digitalism, Goose , Justice, Greenskeepers, M.I.A , MSTRKRFT, the sounds, yelle ,busy p and Yacht. hopefully im not cursed this year caz sitting in a 4hour used portaloo for the entire festival is something no-one should ever experience more than once in their lifetime.
